This is a corded epilator from Philips (model BRE235/00) marketed under the “Satinelle Essential” series.
Key features:
Removes hairs as short as 0.5 mm from the root.
Two speed settings (for thinner and thicker hairs) for more customised hair removal.
Includes a “sensitive area cap” accessory for underarms/bikini or more delicate regions.
Ergonomic handle / compact design for easier handling.
Longer lasting smooth skin: Because it pulls out hairs from the root, you can expect smoother skin for a longer period compared to shaving, which is beneficial if you’re prepping for visuals, shoots or personal grooming.
Versatility across body areas: With the sensitive cap and the two speed settings, it works on legs, arms, underarms and bikini areas — useful if you or models are prepping for full-body or partial-body shoots.
Improved hygiene / maintenance: The washable head means you can better clean the device, which is important in humid climates like Uttar Pradesh / Dādri to avoid build-up or irritation.
Corded operation = consistent power: You won’t have to worry about battery run-out mid-session (as long as you have power supply) which is a plus if using for grooming before shoots or for multiple uses.
Affordability / access: The BRE235/00 model is positioned as an “essential” model, so it offers many features of epilation without necessarily being the highest-end model — good value for groom-kit or personal grooming.
Here’s a step-by-step so you get optimum results:
Prepare the skin
Cleanse the area you’re going to epilate (legs, underarms, bikini, arms) so skin is free of heavy moisturiser/oil.
If skin is slightly flaky or you know hair is rather long, you might do a light exfoliation a day earlier.
Select settings & accessory
Plug in the epilator (corded).
Choose the appropriate speed: use the lower speed for thinner hair or more sensitive zones; higher speed for thicker/denser hair.
Attach the sensitive area cap if you’re working underarms or bikini region.
Epilate properly
Hold the device at the correct angle as per Philips instructions (typically small angle, skin slightly taut).
Move the epilator slowly against the direction of hair growth, working in short strokes. Rushing may reduce efficiency or increase discomfort.
Aftercare
Rinse or detach the head (since it’s washable) and clean the device of hair debris.
Apply a light, soothing lotion or moisturiser on the epilated area — especially important if you’re prepping for a shoot or applying makeup soon after.
Maintenance
Store the device in a dry place. Because your climate may be humid, make sure the head and device do not carry moisture that could degrade the mechanism.
Periodically check the epilation head for wear or damage (worn tweezing discs reduce effectiveness/comfort).
