This model belongs to the “One by Sonicare” line from Philips/Sonicare. According to Philips India, the variant HY1100/54 is listed in Midnight Blue.
It is a battery-powered electric toothbrush (uses a AAA/Alkaline battery) rather than a built-in rechargeable battery.
Key features from the specification:
“Brush for 90 days with one battery” – i.e., up to 3 months of use from one battery.
Smart timer / QuadPacer: the toothbrush buzzes every 30 seconds to move to next quadrant, and a longer buzz at 2 minutes to end brushing.
Soft bristles arranged in a pattern to help reach between teeth and provide gentle cleaning.
The product includes: 1 handle, 1 brush head, 1 AAA alkaline battery (for Indian region listing).
The design/finishing colour is Midnight Blue for this variant.
Better cleaning than a manual brush: The sonic (micro-vibration) technology helps the bristles and handle do more than a standard manual toothbrush, offering enhanced cleaning action in a simple form.
Easy to use and maintain: With a long battery life (up to ~90 days on a single battery), you don’t need to recharge often. Great for travel or simple everyday use.
Smart brushing guidance: The 2-minute timer plus 30-second interval alert helps ensure you cover all parts of the mouth and follow dentist-recommended brushing time.
Compact and stylish: The Midnight Blue colour and simple handle design make it more elegant and less “technological gadget” looking, which may appeal for everyday use or for gifting.
Good value: Compared to premium rechargeable brushes with many modes, this is a more affordable yet competent electric toothbrush option.
Here’s how you can use it properly for best results:
Setup
Insert the included AAA battery into the brush handle (or ensure one is in place).
Attach a compatible brush head (it comes with one).
Wet the brush head lightly and apply a small amount of toothpaste.
Brushing session
Switch the brush on and place the bristles against your teeth at a ~45° angle (as you would with a regular toothbrush).
Let the brush do the work — you don’t need to scrub aggressively; just guide the brush slowly.
Use the 30-second alert to shift to the next quadrant (upper-left, upper-right, lower-left, lower-right).
Once the 2-minute timer finishes (the longer buzz), you’re done.
After brushing
Rinse the brush head and handle under water (if the handle is water-resistant; check manual) and dry it.
Remove leftover toothpaste and store the brush in an upright position, handle away from splashes.
Maintaining usage
Change the brush head every ~3 months (or sooner if bristles are frayed) for optimal cleaning.
Replace the battery when you notice decreased performance or slower bristle movement — even though the spec says up to 90 days, actual may vary.
Keep your brush handle dry and avoid immersing the handle in water (unless specified water-resistant).
