This is a powder-based eyeliner from the “Collection Noir” range by NYX Professional Makeup, shade BEL08 – Brown (also described as “Powder Brown Liner”).
The texture is powder rather than a liquid or pencil; it is intended to produce a softer, blurred line along the lash-line, rather than a sharp, crisp line.
The product is described as creating a “blurred line of chocolate shade” that emphasises the lash line, deepening the look while retaining a more natural finish.
Packaging size: 0.7 g (as listed by some sources) for the BEL08 variant.
Soft, diffused definition: Because the formula is powder-based, the line appears less harsh and more natural, ideal if you prefer a softer eye look.
Depth without stark contrast: As noted, the brown “chocolate” shade emphasises the lash line without heavily accenting the eyes — useful for everyday or subtler makeup.
Versatility: Can be used to draw along upper and/or lower lash lines; you can smudge it for a smoky effect or apply more precisely for definition.
Suitable for different eye looks: Because brown is less intense than black, it works nicely for softer daytime looks, or as a compliment to heavier shadow looks if you want definition without drama.
More forgiving: Powder may be easier to work with for beginners or for creating a smudged/soft line versus a very sharp wing.
Start with your eye‐makeup base done (eyeshadow, primer, lashes) so that the liner is applied over the finished eye look or as last step.
Use a small angled eyeliner brush (or a fine smudge brush) to pick up a small amount of the powder. (Because it's powder form, you’ll need a brush rather than the usual pencil tip.)
Gently tap off excess product from your brush to avoid fallout.
Apply along the upper lash line, starting from the inner corner and working outwards, pressing the brush close to the lash base to define the lash line.
For more intensity, you can also apply it along the lower lash line (just the outer half, if you prefer). The description states “apply… along the upper and lower eyelids”.
For a sharper edge: Press harder and keep the brush line tighter. For a softer look: drag slightly outwards or upwards and smudge the edge lightly within 10–15 seconds while the powder is still loose.
If you want to lock in the liner, you can set with a clear gel or use a small dot of matching eyeshadow on top.
At the end of the day, remove the liner gently with your usual eye‐makeup remover.
