The Translucent Powder line from Kryolan is described as a professional-grade setting powder “designed for cream or fluid foundations” with a high concentration of modified rice starch for oil absorption and extended durability.
Shade/variant: TL9 — one of the tinted/translucent options listed on Kryolan’s “Color selection” for this powder.
Finish: Matte / soft matte, suitable for setting makeup for long wear. The formula emphasises oil-control and durability.
Oil / shine control: With the rice starch-rich formula, it helps absorb excess oil and manage shine — this is particularly beneficial in warm or humid climates (such as many parts of India).
Setting / extending wear: It helps lock in cream or fluid foundations (and concealers) for longer wear, which is beneficial for full-day events, shoots or when you’re producing digital/brand assets.
Matte finish: Gives a “clean” matte or soft-matte finish which is helpful if you want complexion to appear smooth and polished (very relevant for photo/video work).
Professional kit value: 20 g size offers a decent quantity for frequent use, making it practical for makeup kits, bridal use, or content-creation applications.
Shade flexibility: Even though labeled “translucent”, the TL9 variant allows subtle tinting to better match undertones (which is important for varied Indian skin tones) rather than a one-size-fits-all powder.
After applying your foundation (and concealer if used), allow it to settle slightly.
Take a powder puff or sponge and pick up the TL9 powder. Press it into areas where you have more oil or shine (commonly T-zone: forehead, nose, chin).
Let the powder sit for a minute or two (as per Kryolan’s guidance: “allow to sit on the surface” then remove excess)
Use a clean powder brush to sweep away any excess and buff the powder into the skin for a smoother finish.
If you’re doing heavy make-up (shoots, bridal, brand content), follow up with a setting spray for added longevity.
For touch-ups: carry a small brush/powder to lightly dust over shiny areas during the day (especially in humid conditions).
Storage: Keep the container closed, store in a cool/dry place away from direct sunlight and heat (important for Indian climate) so the powder remains stable.
