 How to Use

Here’s a recommended step-by-step method for best results:

1. Prep your eye area

   • Ensure the eyelid and surrounding area are clean, dry and free of excess product (e.g., powder, residual watery eyes).

   • If you have oilier lids, you might set the lid with a light translucent powder or primer to help hold the liner better.

2. Activate the liner

   • Take a fine, firm liner brush (or small angled brush) and dampen it slightly with water.

   • Swirl the wet brush on the surface of the cake liner to pick up colour and form a creamy consistency. 

   • If you want extra durability: scrape a small amount of product onto a blending plate, add a drop of the Cake Eye Liner Sealer, mix into a creamy paste, then apply. 

3. Apply the liner

   • With the loaded brush, draw a line along the desired lash-line. For thinner lines, use a fine pointed brush; for thicker or more dramatic lines, use an angled brush and apply more product. 

   • Work steadily. Because the product activates with water, you have a moment to adjust before it sets.

   • For a winged look, extend the line outward at the outer corner of the eye with precision.

4. Set & seal (optional but recommended for long wear)

   • If you used the sealer mixing method, you’re already applying a waterproof version.

   • Alternatively: after the liner is dry, you can go over it with the Kryolan Cake Eye Liner Sealer using a thin brush to lock the finish. 

5. Finish your eye look

   • Once the liner is set, you can apply mascara, eye shadow, or other eye makeup as desired.

   • Avoid touching the liner while it is drying to prevent smudging.

6. Removal

   • Use a quality eye makeup remover or oil-based cleanser to ensure full removal, especially since the product has smudge/water-resistant claims when sealed.
