This is part of the Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Creme line: a very highly-pigmented make-up designed to correct and cover skin discolourations, scars, tattoos and other visible irregularities.
The official line states: “Once Dermacolor Camouflage Creme is fixed using Fixing Powder and Fixing Spray … it will be waterproof and protects the skin against damaging UV radiation.”
The shade range is extensive and the line supports inter-mixable shades to achieve natural appearance.
Strong corrective coverage: D5 version is suited for areas requiring more intensive coverage (discolouration, visible irregularities) — useful for your brand assets where skin tone needs to appear very even and polished.
Professional grade and durable: As part of a professional make-up line, this product is designed for performance under demanding conditions (studio lighting, long sessions) — relevant for your asset production.
Shade flexibility: Being in the D-series and designed to inter-mix, you can fine-tune depth/undertone which is especially helpful when working with diverse skin tones or adjusting for lighting.
Compact size: The 4 g variant makes this ideal for kit use, targeted correction (rather than full face) or when you need a corrective shade in a professional shoot / brand context.
Here’s a recommended usage workflow suited for your brand/visual asset work:
Skin Preparation
Cleanse and moisturise the face/area to be corrected. Because this is heavy-pigment, you’ll want the skin surface to be smooth and well-hydrated to avoid emphasising texture.
If the environment is humid/oily or the model has oily skin, use a mattifying primer or blot excess oil beforehand.
Apply the Product
Using a clean spatula, fingertip or fine brush, pick up a small amount of the D5 cream.
Warm it slightly (for example on back of hand) to improve pliability and blendability (the brand recommends warming to body temperature).
Dab the product onto the area needing correction and carefully blend the edges into surrounding skin so there is no distinct line or patch.
Build & Adjust Coverage
Because the product is high-pigment, start with a small amount and build up only where required. This is especially important for your high-resolution visuals so the finish remains natural and not overly heavy.
If the shade is slightly off (in depth or undertone) you can mix with adjacent shade(s) thanks to the inter-mixable nature of the line.
Set / Fix the Product
After application, apply the matching Fixing Powder and/or Fixing Spray from the Dermacolor system to lock the coverage and enable the wear-durability and water/sweat resistance claims.
Use a puff or brush to press the powder on, remove excess, and ensure the corrected area blends seamlessly into the rest of the face.
Proceed with your Full Makeup / Asset Workflow
Once fixed, proceed with other makeup steps (foundation for unaffected areas, eyes, lips, etc). Given your brand visual context (desktop/mobile/square formats), take a quick test capture under your lighting/camera setup to confirm how the shade and finish appear in final output.
Removal & Aftercare
At the end of shoot or wear period, remove the makeup thoroughly using a good quality makeup remover (especially since it’s heavy-pigment). Then follow with skincare to keep skin healthy — particularly if you use corrective products often in your production environment.
