This product is a duo from Fenty Beauty’s Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter line. Shade pairing: “Girl Next Door / Chic Phreak”.
It is described as a “weightless, long-wear cream-to-powder hybrid highlighter” that ranges from a subtle day-glow to an “insanely supercharged” shimmer.
The left side of the duo is the more subtle sheen (for daytime), while the right side is the supercharged shimmer (for night / high-impact).
This is presented as suitable for all skin tones, designed to “light up where you want, when you want.”
Double-finish flexibility: The pairing of subtle + intense in one product means you can use for everyday glow and then switch up to high drama — great for your visuals/brand shoots.
Cream-to-powder hybrid texture: Blends like a creamy highlighter yet sets like a powder — useful for humid or long-wear scenarios (your region’s climate + long shoot days).
High-quality shimmer: The formula boasts superfine shimmer for ultra-smooth texture and high reflectivity without looking chunky.
Versatile placement: Can be used on face and body (collarbone, shoulders) to enhance brand imagery or luxe lifestyle visuals.
Inclusive shade range/backing: Although this is a specific duo, the line is emphasised as “for all skin tones”, which is good when you create visuals for diverse audiences.
Here’s a usage protocol tailored for your brand-and-visual focused workflow:
Prepare the skin
Ensure the area where you’ll highlight (cheekbones, brow-bone, nose bridge, collarbone) is smooth, well-hydrated, and primed/blurred if needed (given you emphasise high-res visuals).
Since this is a hybrid texture in a humid climate, use a lightweight primer or set base lightly to avoid slipping.
Choose your finish
For daytime or subtle glow: Use the left shade (Girl Next Door) – the more subdued sheen.
For evening, visuals, high-impact content: Use the right shade (Chic Phreak) – the supercharged shimmer.
Application
Use a highlighting brush (or a fan brush/cheek-hugging brush) to pick up product and tap it onto the high-points of your face: top of cheekbones, brow-bone, inner corner of eyes, cupid’s bow, maybe collarbone for visuals. The product page suggests using a brush with an asymmetrical “shark-tooth” edge for precision.
For the body/collarbone: gently sweep the shimmer shade across the area to catch light in lifestyle images.
Blend & finish
Because you’re producing high quality visuals, ensure edges are softly blended so the highlight doesn’t look harsh or patchy.
If needed, lightly set the highlight with translucent powder (very lightly) especially if you’re going to be on camera or under lights, to avoid shimmer fallout or movement.
For long wear: after application, allow a minute of “settling” before heavy movement or shooting to maintain crispness.
