This is a felt-tip liquid eyeliner from Dior in the shade “Satin Black 096”.
The formula is water-proof and offers intense colour with up to 24 hours wear (according to Dior) for the liner.
It features an ultra-flexible felt tip that adjusts to the pressure applied, so you can draw very thin lines or thicker strokes depending on the movement.
It is part of Dior’s “On Stage” line (“On Stage Liner”) which is designed to recreate runway-style eye looks with precision.
The finish for this particular shade is satin black, which implies a subtle sheen rather than totally matte. (The descriptor “satin” suggests this finish.)
Precise application: The felt-tip allows you to draw very clean, defined lines—ideal for wings, graphic liner looks or a simple sharp line at the lash-line.
Customisable thickness: Because the tip responds to pressure, you can go from fine liner to bold strokes without changing tools.
Long-lasting wear: Waterproof and designed for up to 24 hours of wear, reducing smudging or fading.
Luxurious finish & shade: Satin Black offers rich black tone with a slight satin shine rather than completely flat matte, which can elevate the look.
Versatile for styles: Whether you want a subtle everyday liner or dramatic cat-eye or graphic shapes, this product supports both.
Brand prestige: Being a Dior product adds a luxury appeal and often higher quality in formula, tip precision and finish.
Here’s a step-by-step recommended usage guide:
Prepare your eyelid
Start with a clean eyelid (ideally with a primer or a neutral eyeshadow base so the liner glides smoothly).
If you have oily lids, you may blot or set lightly with powder to help liner last longer.
Position and hold the liner
Unscrew the cap and remove any excess product from the tip by gently dabbing it on tissue.
Hold the pen lightly and steady your hand—rest your elbow on a flat surface if needed for control.
Apply the liner
Start at the inner corner of the eye, or slightly mid-lid if you prefer, and trace along the lash line toward the outer corner.
Use light pressure for a thin line; apply more pressure or a second pass to thicken the line.
For a wing: at the outer corner, angle the tip slightly upward following the lower lash-line extension, then fill in.
Finish and correct if needed
Allow the liner to set for a few seconds so it dries and stays put.
If any unevenness occurs, clean the edge with a tiny angled brush dipped in concealer.
For bold looks, you can go over again with the felt tip once the first layer is semi-dry to build colour depth.
Removal
Use a proper eye-makeup remover (especially one for waterproof formulas) to avoid tugging the delicate eye area.
Gently swipe until the liner is removed rather than rubbing vigorously.
