This is a woody-spicy men’s fragrance from Gucci, launched in 2007 and created by perfumer Karine Dubreuil‑Sereni.
The composition opens with fresh top notes of violet leaf and bergamot.
The heart (middle) brings black tea, cinnamon and pimento (a spicy pepper-type note).
The base notes settle into tobacco leaf, myrrh, musk and olive tree wood.
On one retailer’s description: “An alluring fragrance heightened by a sensual, spicy soul … the essence of young, masculine sensuality.”
Note: Some sources list this fragrance as discontinued.
Distinctive signature scent: The combination of violet leaf + tea + tobacco gives it a refined and somewhat unique aroma profile that stands apart from simple fresh or generic men’s colognes.
Balanced masculine elegance: It blends fresh top notes with warm, spicy and woody base notes — offering both approachability and depth
Versatility in settings: Suitable for a variety of wear occasions – from daytime refined to evening relaxed or business-casual, thanks to its balanced profile.
Premium brand & craftsmanship: As a Gucci fragrance crafted by an experienced perfumer, it conveys luxury positioning and attention to detail.
Emotive & character-ful aroma: Reviewers describe it as comforting, rich yet not heavy — a scent that evokes sophistication and confidence.
Apply the fragrance to clean, dry skin — ideally after a shower when skin is slightly warm; this will help the scent develop well.
Focus spraying on pulse points, such as the wrists, the base of the neck or the sides of the neck, and optionally behind the ears. The warmth of these points helps diffuse the scent.
For moderate everyday presence, 1-2 sprays may suffice. If you want stronger presence (evening or cooler weather), use 3 sprays: e.g., both wrists + neck.
After spraying, do not rub your wrists together — rubbing can flatten the top notes and alter how the fragrance develops.
For better longevity: apply a light, fragrance-free (or lightly scented) moisturizer beforehand — moisturised skin tends to retain scent longer.
Store your bottle upright, away from direct sunlight or heat, and keep it sealed when not in use to preserve the fragrance quality.
